The Old Abandoned House
It was a dark and stormy night, and the wind was howling like a pack of wolves. The rain was coming down in sheets, and the streets were empty. Except for one brave soul who was making their way down the deserted road.
A young woman, named Emily, was on her way home from a late shift at the hospital. She had just finished her nursing program and was now working long hours to pay off her student loans. She was tired and just wanted to get home, but she knew she had to go past the old abandoned house.
The old house had been empty for years, and the locals always told stories about it. They said that it was cursed, and that anyone who went inside would never come back out. Emily had heard the stories before, but she never believed them. She thought it was just a bunch of nonsense.
As she approached the old house, Emily noticed something strange. There was a light coming from inside the house. She stopped in her tracks, feeling a chill run down her spine. She couldn't believe it. Someone was inside the old, abandoned house.
Emily tried to convince herself that it was probably just a squatter or a homeless person seeking shelter from the storm. But the more she thought about it, the more it seemed like something sinister was happening inside.
She stood there for a few moments, watching the house, but the light didn't go out. It just flickered, like a candle in the wind. Emily hesitated for a moment, but then she made a decision. She had to investigate.
She approached the old house cautiously, feeling her heart pounding in her chest. She pushed open the creaky door, and a blast of cold air hit her. The inside of the house was dark and musty, and there was a strange smell in the air.
Emily took out her flashlight and shone it around the room. The first thing she noticed was a pile of dirty clothes and blankets in the corner. There were also empty food cans scattered around the room, and a strange, sticky substance on the walls.
Emily's heart was racing as she made her way through the house. She could feel the fear creeping up inside of her, but she couldn't turn back now. She had to know what was happening in this house.
As she made her way deeper into the house, Emily heard strange noises. It sounded like someone was moving around upstairs. She slowly climbed the stairs, her flashlight illuminating the way.
At the top of the stairs, she saw a door that was slightly ajar. The light was coming from behind the door, and Emily could hear strange whispering sounds. She pushed the door open, and what she saw made her blood run cold.
There were three figures in the room, all dressed in tattered clothes. They were huddled around a small table, with their backs to Emily. They were whispering in low voices, and Emily couldn't make out what they were saying.
She stepped forward, and one of the figures turned around. Emily gasped in horror when she saw their face. It was twisted and contorted, with deep gouges and scars. The figure let out a low growl and started to move towards her.
Emily ran down the stairs, her heart pounding in her chest. She could hear the figures chasing after her, their low growls and guttural snarls echoing through the house.
She stumbled out of the front door, and the rain soaked her to the bone. She ran down the street, not stopping until she reached her house. She slammed the door shut and locked it, collapsing onto the floor
